All our food is cooked in house by our award winning chef. Full of freshness and teeming with taste, we are passionate about using the finest local ingredients with most of our produce sourced from Yorkshire suppliers. Our menu chages every 6-8 weeks and we have a daily special board. sandwiches are served until 6pm .

Starters

Home-made soup of the day, served with crusty bread & herb butter.

Marinated olives with balsamic basil oil and itlian bread.

 Chicken liver pate, with beetroot and red onion chutney and served with garlic toast.

 Oven baked mushroom caprese, sundried tomato, basil and mozzarella, served with red pepper, rocket and balsamic glaze.

 A warm salad of duck confit, chorizo, red onion and roasted butternut squash

Three cheese garlic bread, cheddar, smoked applewood and swiss cheese, topped with spring onion.

Coconut and chilli prawns in a creamy sauce. with tagliatelle and cheddar crust.

Main Courses

Pan-fried Rib Eye Steak, with roasted tomato, button mushrooms, fried onions, salad & triple cooked hand cut chips.

ADD A SAUCE:  Peppercorn or sauce Diane.

 Duo of lamb - slowly braised lamb shoulder Shepherds pie, pan fried cutlet with wilted greens & a rosemary & redcurrant sauce.

 Confit of pork belly with a spicy chorizo, pepper, sweet potato & haricot bean casserole.

 Home-made steak & ale pie, slowly braised prime steak in rich onion gravy topped with a sage infused short crust pastry lid & served with triple cooked hand cut chips & garden peas

 Pan fried 10oz gammon steak, served with fried egg, triple cooked hand cut chips & garden peas.

 Grilled steak burger with B.B.Q pulled pork, cheese, tomato & crispy fried onions, served with  triple cooked hand cut chips & salad

 Honey glazed pork loin steaks with pancetta, mushroom, brandy and dijon mustard sauce.

World famous Whitby scampi, breaded and deep fried until golden, served with triple hand cut chips and dressed salad.

The Flask inn fish pie: cod, smoked haddock, salmon and prawns in a creamy parsley sauce and topped with champ potato and Wensleydale cheese, served with dressed salad.
